It's clear that everyone in the NCAA, ESPN and god knows who else in the SEC hierarchy DOES NOT want this kid playing football.

I have never in all my years of life seen a college athlete so targeted on rumors and innuendo. Give me a damn break, let this kid play football and leave him the hell alone!!

Enough with this shit! Can't wait til Cam goes to the NFL so that he can tell the world to go fuck off!

At least his trouble with the law will let him fit in well in the NFL.

What troubles with the law? He got caught with a stolen laptop. He's not even the one who stole it. All other rumors about him are exactly that...rumors!

Leve this guy alone and let's get on with football. You all are a bunch of fucking nattering gossip ladies sitting around talking about this kid.

Gossip ladies eh... ironic in that you created a thread to support him. I dont know why you are supporting this guy so much. Like I said in the other thread, if this was an attempt to bring him down by ruining his character or making allegations, someone would make one every fucking year about a winning team with a heisman candidate. Did we hear anything horrible like this from Ingram, Bradford, Tebow, Smith, Leinhart in their final NCAA year.... NO. But since you are such a Newton fan... at least pay attention to ESPN and their analysts stating that their vote will still go to Cam Newton because its STILL ALLEGATIONS.

Besides everyone is scrutinized on the national scene...

Tim Tebow = everyone made fun of him crying and his pics with some girl.
Vince Young = wunderlich test
LeGarret blount = punch
Dez Bryant = practicing with Irving
North Carolina = party
AJ Green = sold jersey for boosters

and so on....

I know little about the guy. It does seem Cam Newton had some problems in the pass which seemed to have already been dealt with.

Unless there something new about Cam Newton, I agree reporters should stop writting about Cam's passed problems.

TOTALLY DISAGREE. Any kid or parent that accepts money, much less hundreds of thousands of dollars, and much less on top of that, DEMANDS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, deserves to be blackballed and smeared in front of the world. Now while I agree that this goes on in every bigtime SEC school, this hopefully is the 1st whistle to be blown. I don't see how other schools like Auburn don't blow the whistle on 'Bama or Florida in the near future if indeed Auburn gets hung out to dry on this.

It is obvious Cecil Newton accepted money and funneled it thru his church. Do you realize his church was on the foreclosure block, and 5 months later not only was his church no longer in foreclosure status, but it was FULLY UPDATED THROUGHOUT.

Come on man. You can't turn your back on this. The NCAA needs to act quick on this instead of waiting 5 years a la Reggie Bush.

FIND THE TRUTH OUT NOW.

Amen! The shit now circulating --even if I assumed it's true, which I dont -- happend over two years ago. My god, the kid was like 18 years old. Look around your neighborhood at the bone-headed shit other 18 yr olds are doing and ask yourself if they should be crucified or just be given a chance to be a kid. The NCAA doesn't let the athletes get paid like pros, yet they hold them to HIGHER ethical standards than a pro would have to meet. Hypocrites!!

Tim Lincecum gets busted for pot possession in the offseason, and he's a folk hero in the media for it. Cam Newton is RUMORED -- RUMORED -- to have cheated on a test or requested a bribe (which he may not have even known about) and all of sudden he's not worthy of Heisman that he busted his ass for!! Bunch of paunchy, lazy sportwriters casting stones from a glass house. I'm sick of it!

Welcome to the year 2010 dude. I can guarantee you Cam and Cecil Newton are guilty of accepting money from Auburn. It will be out before Christmas. Either that or the Newton's will have admitted to it by then.

Okay, so any allegation about any person is true? I guess you would have convicted the Duke lacrosse players when they were accused by that extortionist, lying slut.

The FBI is involved. Money laundering across state lines and tax evasion are Federal Offenses. Don't think for a minute that ESPN and others would not continue spoon feeding stories if they did not have hard evidence. And I have heard that they do.....tapes and text messages that incriminate the Newtons. Somebody is lying either today or back when they signed with Auburn. They are spoon feeding for exposure which I don't necessarily agree with but by doing it, there are certain people that being given the opportunity to tell the truth and they are hanging themselves in print. Thats why they now have lawyers.

I would strongly suggest not lying to the Feds. Auburn is in serious trouble. Keep in mind that with Bush they could never tie University officials involvement with handlers. This one could be very different.

Then why did he throw the laptop out the window? You know, if he wasnt the one who stole it. Seems like he is another student athalete that trouble follows.

I was talking to buddy of mine from Auburn who was screaming he is innocent... I told him to quit drinking the kool aid... Also told him to take a step back and if this was going on at Bama would you not believe it or would you be screaming that Ingram is innocent... Look there is to much smoke for there not to be fire.. but heres what will happen...The NCAA will allow the season to end and if AU goes undefeated they will play for a nAT Title...If they win they will recieve rings and a Trophy...3 years later the NCAA will strip them of title and Auburn will be on probation....The NCAA process is almost as big of a problem as cheating in CFB IMO...If there guilty punish them now and give TCU a chance but it will never happen

I guess when things like this come to light you have to listen to as much as possible. How do you separate fact from fiction, you can't unless you have first hand knowledge. It is just as wrong to "assume" someone is innocent as it is to "assume" someone is guilty. I seriously doubt that Newton is innocent but I would leave the fact finding to the proper authorities who have a vested interest in the situation. Origen seems to think it is the Newtons vs. the world, I don't think so. I wonder how many people saw the ESPN feature on Marcus Dupree last night, " The best that never was."
That will give you an idea of how many irons get dangled into the fire when it comes to getting a piece of an outstanding athlete. You add in greed or at the least "opportunity" on the part of the family and the pot is suddenly hard to stir. I guess Origen wants to close his eyes and act like nothing ever happened kind of like the economic and financial situation in his home state of California. What is important is to obtain facts and act on them, the consequences are the next logical progression. What people "think" does not mean shit, and that goes for people on both sides of the street on this issue. Scumbags play football too.

I don't need to read the damn Police Report. I listened to Jime Rome (ESPN PC-hypocrite) grill the poor kid for 10 minutes on ESPN radio about the stupid fucking laptop. Newton told Rome --and anyone else that will listen-- that yes he made a poor decision buying the laptop from a second-hand source. He admitted it was a poor decision. He took full responsibility for it.

Case Closed.
